At Chicks & Wicks, each candle is hand-poured in small batches using natural soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and cotton wicks.

Because of the natural composition of our candles, slight variations in appearance may occur. This can include minor differences in color, texture, or a light soot or film on the inside of the jar as the candle burns—especially during later burns. This is a normal characteristic of natural wax candles and does not affect the safety, performance, or quality of the product.

A light layer of soot may occasionally appear on lighter or white jars—this is normal with natural wax candles and does not affect the quality or performance of your candle.

To help minimize soot:
✨ Trim your wick to ¼” before each burn
✨ Avoid burning in drafty areas
✨ Keep burns to 2–4 hours at a time

A gentle wipe with a soft cloth will easily clean the inside of the jar if needed.
