The Humane Society Lake County Fundraiser

Every day, animals in Lake County arrive at the Humane Society of Lake County.

They are scared, hungry, and unsure of what comes next. Some were lost, some abandoned, and others rescued from difficult situations—but all of them share the same need: a second chance.

At the shelter, they’re given more than just food and a place to sleep. They receive medical care, warmth, and compassion from people who believe every animal deserves love. Volunteers spend time helping shy dogs learn to trust again, while cats who once hid in corners begin to feel safe enough to be held.

One by one, these animals find their way into forever homes. A once-frightened puppy becomes a child’s best friend. A quiet cat becomes a comforting companion to someone living alone. These small transformations change lives—both animal and human.

But none of this happens without support.

Fundraisers, donations, and community efforts make it possible to continue this work. Every candle purchased, every dollar given, helps provide food, shelter, and hope to animals still waiting for their turn.
